## Mini Golf is Fun for All Ages & Skill Levels

Mini golf brings everyone together for a little friendly competition. The most engaging party games, like mini golf, get everyone moving and are inclusive for all, young and old, golfers and bystanders. If you want a game that inspires a spirit of togetherness, choose one with[ simple rules](https://www.smugglersgolf.com/blog/how-to-keep-score-when-playing-mini-golf), fast-paced rounds, and [teamwork](https://www.smugglersgolf.com/blog/the-many-benefits-of-mini-golf-as-a-team-building-activity)!

One of the most enjoyable aspects of mini golf at Smugglers Cove is that it's more than just a game; it's an adventure! Exploring the course with friends and family is the ultimate icebreaker as you discover each new twist and turn. Plan an eye-spy style game for guests who prefer walking along the course or divide your crew into teams and award fun prizes for best dressed, least strokes at one hole, and best victory dance.

## Tips for Planning the Perfect Putt-Putt Party!

Planning a mini golf party is as easy as 1-2-3! Take our simple checklist with you as you begin the process.

### Choose the Right Venue

Before choosing your venue, a few factors to consider include how many guests will be in attendance. If it’s a larger party, consider requesting an RSVP 3 months in advance.

When choosing the location, look for a venue central to all attendees. Additionally, outdoor venues offer a more relaxing atmosphere and can typically accommodate more guests. Last, pick a theme. If you want to go beyond the classic arcade style, base your theme on your favorite aesthetic.

### Setting the Date and Time

Once you've settled on a venue, don't be afraid to ask questions to determine the best time of the day to avoid crowds and any additional booking procedures necessary to lock in a date. To book weekends and public holidays, we recommend securing your spot as far in advance as possible.

### Invitations

We recommend sending invites at least a month out to ensure guests can attend. Get creative with[ free online templates](https://www.canva.com/create/birthday-invitations/), unique fonts, colors, and graphics to make your party invitation extra special.

### Themes, Decor, Cake, and More!

A few of the best mini golf birthday themes include[ pirate adventures](https://www.smugglersgolf.com/blog/five-fun-and-easy-pirate-crafts-and-activities-for-kids), jungle explorers, Indiana Jones temple raiders, and even mermaids, fairies, and alligators! With the expansive outdoor space in premiere mini golf courses like Smugglers Cove, you can let your creativity run wild.

Consider including themed snacks and a costume contest for guests to get into the spirit of the celebration. Birthday cakes decorated with golf, pirate, or alligator scenes are always a hit. Of course, if you're looking to bake outside the box, why not try a cupcake tray? Cupcake trays are a delight for partygoers and an easy way to portion a cake for a birthday party without mess or hassle.

## Capture Picture-Perfect Memories

Memories are the best party favors. One of the best benefits of having a birthday party at a mini golf course like Smugglers Cove is the naturally photogenic backdrop. Set up a photo booth at one of your favorite locations around the park.

Waterfalls, rope bridges, our live alligator habitat, and –of course– the final hole make excellent spots for photo ops. Consider including a costume bin of funny hats, glasses, and accessories near the last hole so guests can snap a silly selfie.

Hiring a freelance photographer is a great option for birthday parties. Freelancers typically offer more flexibility and are budget-friendly for small gatherings. If you're planning the party on behalf of someone else, gifting professional photography services is a fantastic, heartfelt way to capture the moment.
