Spring training is upon us! You know what that means: training camps (and events) are popping up all over the place. So, what activities should you plan to experience some fun during spring training? Here's a list of some fun things to do while in town for spring training and beyond!

Smugglers Cove Adventure Golf

Everybody loves a good game of mini golf—so, while you are waiting for the big games, why not take the family for an outing? Smugglers Cove locations are all over the South Florida map, including Bradenton, Fort Myers, Sarasota, Indian Shores, and Madeira Beach.

Every one of the Smugglers Cove locations gives you and your family a unique adventure with unique course designs, live alligators, and more. Even special events and family fun will make your Spring Training trip to Florida even more exciting and memorable.

Tour The Training Facilities

If you are going to be in Florida for the Spring Training events, there is no better time to visit the training facilities. Check out the Boston Red Sox and Minnesota Twins in Fort Myers, the Baltimore Orioles or Atlanta Braves in Sarasota, the Pittsburgh Pirates in Bradenton, the Toronto Blue Jays, Philadelphia Phillies or New York Yankees in Indian Shores and Madeira Beach.  These training facilities are most active this time of year and host various events for loyal fans that have traveled to Florida just to see their favorite players. You will be able to see your favorite players start their training routines to get warmed up for the upcoming season.

Visit a Museum or Historical Site in Sarasota

If you've ever been to Florida, you know they have a lot of hidden gems. Over the years, you will discover interesting museums in the area that are free and open to the public. Visitors stop in to see the art and artifacts on display in the many Sarasota museums.

If your family wants to visit a museum that is more exciting, you can visit the Sarasota Classic Car Museum. If that doesn't interest the family, then try something a little more light-hearted like the Mote Marine Laboratory. There you can see sea creatures like sharks or turtles up close!

Try Out A New Restaurant In Town

While you are in town for spring training, it might be a great time to make a reservation and enjoy a meal at one of the many family-friendly restaurants. Before you head out, though, you are going to want to make sure tables are available and book your reservation if needed to ensure you get in.

Since you are probably traveling, you might want to have a more adventurous dining experience. If your family is looking forward to a seafood dinner, then you might want to visit Dry Dock Waterfront Grill or Owen's Fish Camp. For something a little more relaxed, fun, and amusing, you can visit O’Leary’s Tiki Bar & Grill for great food, live music, and salty breezes.

While a game of mini golf at one of the Smugglers Cove locations might be fun—you came here to see professional ball games. Therefore, you and the family will not want to miss a moment of the pre-season schedule to see your favorite teams and players. Don't forget to check the schedule at Smugglers Cove to check out what adventures, programs, and fun events they have planned for spring training.
